Dodgers' young pitching star Yoshinobu Yamamoto escapes trouble
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the 19-year-old pitching prospect for the Los Angeles Dodgers, escaped trouble in the fourth inning of Thursday's game against the Atlanta Braves. With the bases loaded and one out, Yamamoto struck out Dansby Swanson and got Austin Riley to ground out, preserving a 2-0 lead.
Yamamoto is in the middle of his first full season in the Arizona Complex League, where he has a 2.08 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 10 starts.
Freddie Freeman, Andy Pages homer to help Dodgers win
First baseman Freddie Freeman and outfielder Andy Pages homered to help the Dodgers defeat the Braves 4-2 on Thursday.
Freeman's solo homer in the first inning gave the Dodgers an early lead. Pages' two-run homer in the fourth inning extended the lead to 4-0.
The win was the Dodgers' sixth in a row.
